I had an idea for a better product. The path to successfully creating the software on a shoestring budget and bootstrapping a company seemed straight forward. Well, it wasn’t that simple. I started with experience in project management, but quickly learned that there were some key elements missing in my process. I will share some of the core efforts I learned while building a software suite on an agile platform and positioning that product for market acceptance.

·       Assess the balance of developer influence and the perceived value of the target market

·       Analyze non-agile tools used to define the value proposition

·       Consider methods to differentiate nicety from necessity


Speaker’s Biography:

Matt Shaw is the co-owner and COO of Protoduction Systems, LLC and Apex Informatics.  He also consults with organizations to assist in developing preparedness and disaster response, and offers education in organizational performance topics such as talent management planning, resistance to change, and organizational creativity.  Matt has served in leadership positions in most areas of the (Healthcare) environment of care with a specialty in the areas of Safety, Security, and Emergency Management.  Previously, he served in the National Guard for 12 years in the areas of Airfield Management, Operations Resource Management, Life Support, and Survival. An Adjunct Professor for Methodist College teaching Business Strategy, Matt previously served as an Adjunct Professor for Bellevue University in the graduate Organizational Performance program.



ANNOUNCEMENT:  Online registration for monthly luncheon events will remain open and not close so you can now register day of the event and at the event. The registration price increases to $25 after 5:00 pm CT on the day before the luncheon event.
