Barbee Davis owns Davis Consulting, an Authorized Training Center for PMI^®, and is a published author, speaker, writer of training materials and an innovator in presentation-skill workshops, PMP^®, PMI-ACP^®, and Disciplined Agile classes. Her experience is in government, education, healthcare, banking, IT, and construction, plus others. She worked for 15 years as a consultant and R.E.P. Quality Reviewer for PMI.

In the new Disciplined Agile field, PMI^® has four new certifications, DASM, DASSM, DAC, and DAVSC. Why do we need new certifications at this point in time, and how important will they be to those of us who are already project managers? The current PMP^® Exam has worked lots of agile ideas into its questions, and the wave of the future is Disciplined Agile as far as PMI^® is concerned. We will certainly not do away with the waterfall practices, but they will be for specific types of projects and will have Disciplined Agile ideas embedded. For that reason, this presentation on what Disciplined Agile is, how it came to be so important to PMI^®, and how it will affect the future of all of us as project managers may be a meeting you don’t want to miss.
